What's the big deal, if it is not this year may be in next few years another bill will be introduced. Bills will kept being introduced and some day one of those bill will pass.

There is no drives even in a 1000 mile radius from where I live, hope this guy gets what he wants, looks like this guy has lots of support, lots of money. Can we do the same for all such people in India, there are probably hundreds of thousands of people in India who are in this situation who have no help like this guy. We should take our mind away from DOS and USCIS for a while and do some better things like this.
You can actually get registered at your local hospital and if you are from South East Asia, they waive the nominal fees they otherwise charge. Note: There are no fees charged during the drives. People please go out and get yourselves registered. Thanks!

my experience with all carriers including fedex/dhl and others have been bad. Infact no one can guarantee a timely delivery for international shipments, as there is customs check, that can delay the delivery. Customs clearance is not controlled by these carrier companies, though they can only expedite it.

my opinion what ever route u go u will have minimum 2 stops . IF u take direct flights like ny/chicago to delhi then u will have to fly from delhi to ahd.
what ever route u fly cost will be from $1300 to $1500
so my take would be this.
Atlanta - LA - singapore - ahmedabad (via singapore airlines).
no transist visa needed
service and food/drinks of singapore airline just superb.
singapore airport is also superb. nice entertainment area / food court. btw it has desi fast food place so you can enjoy good food there too.
last thing singapore to ahd direct flight :)

In July as all the PD were current layers said that if they try to port the PD from EB ( which was Sep 2003) to EB2 ( with PD Oct 2004) USCIS will reject the case with reasoning that every thing is current so there is no need for PD porting.
Now as EB-3 become �unavailable with Sep Visa news, it seems I can not port that PD to EB2. as memo says EB2 PD should be current , which is not ( EB2 PD is Oct 2004) :confused:

u have to file 140 for ur old labor..once that get approved....u can interfile the approved 140 onto ur pending 485..(filed with PERM labor/140) and request USCIS to use the PD of the old Labor/140...

There actually are four separate types of A#. You can tell them apart by the number of digits and the first digit. The first kind is an eight-digit A#. These are manually assigned at local offices. If you have one of these numbers, simply treated it as if it was "0" plus the number. This is a good representation of what has happenend with EB2 as many have switched from EB3 to EB2...in the coming months do not expect the EB2 numbers to move at all...even with spillovers...it will soon be unavailable....

Thanks for a positive reply at last.I checked my both 797s my current one ends on Nov 14 and my future one starts at Nov 15.So i see there is no gap.Hopefully i will be good i guess.I am planning to go to Charlotte Border Security and see if they say me the same.Any way your comments made me rethink that i will be ok.

So, during this time I will be out of status right ?
So if I do my L1 Extension, I might solve the problem.

As far as I know, your H will impact your L, not the other way around. Your most recent I-94 will determine your status. Your H I-94 will start from Oct 01.
1. If your L extension cannot happen before Oct 1st, your L I-94 starts earlier than the H and will beinvalidated on October 1st.
2. If your L extension happens after October 1st - it will not happen because at that time, your status would have changed to H. So the ext will be denied as far as I know.
If you wish to continue your L after Oct 1st, get an extension approved, travel out of the country before Oct 1st, get a visa stamped and return on L after Oct 1st.

Is there any minumum periods which i can reenter to us with the same old VISA. Means if i travel back on July/Aug and my VISA expires on Sept. I heard i should have a minimum 3 months validity for the VISA before i am reentering to US. Is that true?
Some people say this is 6 months, I am not sure and I have been asking on various forums but haven't received a concrete answer yet.

Then you will get added to a national registry.
Alternately you can also register online if you not in a metropolitan area. We are having lot of drives right now in New York,New jersey,DC areas.

In order to work with Y, i have to get stamped first then only pay stubbs are generated. This was the understanding, when owner of Y ,company Y Attorney and myself were in the conference call discussion.

Based on the information provided on above post , I believe X is paying you in view of pending appeal.
Note that there is a risk in going to other countries for stamping due to PIMS related delay. You can search for thread from people who were stuck in Canada for few months but they were Canada landers and stay in canada wasn't an issue for them.
Its safe to go to your home country and get it stamped there. You are atleast safe to stay as long as PIMS takes to validate.

If I were you I would just do paper-based application for I-765. I just checked the pdf file and it doesn't have any questions that one would have a hard time answering. Just fill it out and fed-ex it. :) That's what I will do once I keep on renewing my EAD.
