    open a infopass, go to a local service center, they will schedule and u get it done, Dont loose this great chance.

    I waited, opened SR's with 0 luck. Then i tried above and it worked. Luckily they scheduled same day as inforpass for me.

    I have just joined this forum and collected my D70 last night. Used for the first time tonight took about 200 photo's with my SB-80DX flash.
    I had to use camera on A or S priority with flash set on Auto. Quite a backward step after TTL metering with the F100.
    The only Nikon flashes which provide full interaction with the D70 are the SB-800 & SB-600. Only these provide auto zoom head function, ISO from camera and TTL metering.

    I am on H1B without job and no paystubs.
    My employer has been trying to find a project for me but till now he couldnt get anything.
    Its been 6 months alreay since I am on H1B visa.
    He made me modify my actual experience to include fake projects .
    Now I am thinking of filing a complaint to DOL.
    I have my H1B petition and offer letter from the employer.
    But I am worried that if I file complaint ,my employer will threaten me telling that I faked my experience and submitted fake resumes.
    What should I do? Will DOL take any action against me?
    Any success stories of DOL complaint filing?

    Is that right or it should be (c)(9) or
    it should be (c) (09)

    I put application date as when ever I signed the form and dated it. I think its no big deal, if you attach copy of previous EAD...

    If the visa is already expired, you better wait to get the travel documents (AP) so you don't need to go for stamping.

    If you use AP to go and return without stamping new H1, can you continue working with H1 or you've to use EAD? And if you use EAD, can you be with current employer?? This is confusing!! :confused:

    Don't worry about your I140 getting revoked, AC21 is built for your career, security and comfort keeping in mind the USCIS delays. Go ahead and use it and Good luck. Make sure you are careful with SOC codes, and do a good job of keeping your status and career in accordance with the rules. The rest will take care of itself.
    If you are sure about your I140 getting revoked, make sure you let USCIS know of your AC21 portability. Good luck.

    If you have not been to Canada or lived in Canada since your landing I would assume that your Canadian PR would have been automatically cancelled because of the 3 years out of 5 years rule.


    I was wondering if anyone here who had a canadian PR (i.e. did a landing), got GC later has travelled again to Canada again?
    We got canadian PR in 2005 and did a landing while we were waiting for our GC. We got a our GC last year and are planning to visit canada using our GC. Are there going to be any issue in entering canada?

    Also, we travelled to India last year and received new I-94 when we got back into US using AP. Very soon (days) we received our GC's. I am not sure what do with these I-94's when we leave US. Do we still need to surrender these as in the past?

    My wife case though still pending at CSC.:confused:

    did you get a finger print notice? as far as I know they wont send FP notice for paper filing..but just want to confirm.

    Why not? USCIS already approved 60K 485 applications in 2 weeks time. How come they cannot do the same with some extra money (i.e. premium processing). They can do anything if want to do.

    Premium processing does not necessarily mean that it should be done in 15 days. It depends on the complexity of the application. We all know how complex 485 is because of the name check.

    The premium processing can cost 1000-1500/more for 485 and should be done in 6 months. They can use the PP money to expedite their name checks. I am not sure what kind of issues USCIS will have implementing this

    What all documents are needed in this case to port the I-140 provided the job description stays the same and in the same category code.

    We all know that no employer shares the approved I-140 copy as that is the company's property and my understanding is that a copy of approved I-140 is required in order to port the priority date??

    My I-485 Receipt Notice does not have any PD on it either.

    ALl I-485, repeat ALL do not have PD date on it. Only the I-140 approval notices have a date filled in.

    My question is - how do we tackle the question if work status is EAD or GC because most times it is asked as a casual question before the interview or during the interview or after the interview.

    The answer could be
    "I have unrestricted employment authorization that allows me to work for any US employer just like green card holder" [example]

    Employment can ask for valid employment authorization, but not for kind of employment authorization.

    U can get the tracking nummber /case number from the lawyer . But you can not get any details from USCIS since 140 is owned by company.

    However if the company has received a140 receipt then the receipt will have
    the beneficiary name

    If u are the beneficiary then u can take an infopass with uscis and get the information from the case number

    Friends,
    How long can one stay out of Canada once landed as a permanent resident? Is it 2 years or 3 years???

    I did my landing in July 06 and have received canadian PR but then moved back to US since then and have not visited Canada since.

    Can somebody please provide some input on this? Friend of mine told me that i have to move before July, 08 in order to maintain canadian PR status. Is it true?

    Many thanks for your input on this.
